CCCA Honorary Chair Mr. Hu Zixiu Attends Press Conference for the “One Canada For All” Anti-Discrimination Charity Gala
On April 9, 2026, a press conference was held for the "One Canada For All — CUAME Unity and Inclusion Fundraising Gala". Victor Oh, Honorary President of the Canada-China Architectural Association (CCCA) and former Senator, and Senator Yuen Pau Woo attended as key representatives and jointly issued a call to action, urging everyone to pay attention to and support this meaningful public welfare campaign.
This gala dinner, co-hosted by the Canadian United Against Modern Exclusion (CUAME) and the United Promotion Council of Canadian Public Affairs (UPCCPA), will be held on May 1, 2026, at the Casa Deluz Banquet Hall in Scarborough.
One Canada, belonging to all of us.
The dinner, themed "One Canada For All," aimed to unite the community in advocating for inclusive, diverse, and equitable social values, and opposing all forms of discrimination and xenophobia. In today's increasingly diverse global and local social environment, promoting understanding and respect among ethnic groups and fostering community harmony is of paramount importance.
As the organizers stated, "One Canada For All" is not just a slogan, but a shared vision for an inclusive, diverse, and non-exclusive Canada.
The dinner will also raise funds to support CUAME's continued work in anti-discrimination education, community advocacy, and public policy promotion, so that this vision can take root and drive real social change.
About CUAME
The Coalition Against Discrimination and Xenophobia in Canada (CUAME), established in September 2025, is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization registered under the Canada Nonprofit Corporation Act. CUAME is composed of volunteers from across the country, and its core mission includes:
Documenting cases of Charter rights and freedoms violated under the guise of "foreign interference" or "national security threats"; providing support and defense for Canadians facing accusations of national security overreach and unfounded foreign interference; educating the public about the dangers of "modern exclusion" and how it can be weaponized to target minority groups perceived as "problems" due to politics and prejudice; advocating for sound public policies that ensure the rights and freedoms of Canadians connected to other countries are protected when addressing issues such as national security and foreign interference; and mobilizing Canadians to stand up for their rights and actively participate in Canadian public life, including politics, without fear of persecution and stigma.
The Canada-China Architectural Association actively participates in social welfare activities.
As one of the most influential professional organizations in the Canadian Chinese construction industry, the Canada-China Architectural Association not only deeply cultivates exchanges and cooperation within the construction industry but also actively participates in social welfare undertakings. Honorary Chairman Hu Zixiu has long been committed to safeguarding and advocating for the rights and interests of the Chinese community.
