CCCA加中建筑协会走进智爱中心,感受用心陪伴的温暖
Alex Huang, President of the Canadian Chinese Construction Association, and Jenny Li, the Association’s Treasurer, visited Cherish Integrated Services at the centre’s invitation. Founder Hugo Lam and his wife, Ivy Lam, welcomed them warmly and accompanied them throughout, introducing the centre’s mission and services.
Cherish is a registered charity serving people with special needs. Through life-skills training, vocational training and hands-on experience at its own Possible Café, it walks alongside them as they learn independence, build confidence and gradually become part of the community.
What moved us most was the perseverance and dedication the Cherish team has shown over the years. Behind every bit of progress a trainee makes is patient guidance, given again and again, and one sincere word of encouragement after another. That companionship gives them the courage to try, and gives the families who care for them greater peace of mind and hope.
Thank you, Cherish, for showing us how love takes shape in everyday life and reaches each person who needs help. We hope more people will come to know them, recognize their effort and potential, and offer support and encouragement, so that they feel accepted in the community and find a place of their own.
The Canadian Chinese Construction Association remains committed to charitable causes and to serving the community. We thank Cherish for its devoted work, and we hope more people will pay attention to and generously support people with special needs, so that they find a place of their own through care and acceptance.
