Z Square Construction Group

Z Square Architecture was founded in 2016 by two Canadian registered architects, Mengdi Zhen and Nan Zeng, who have been working in the architecture industry for over 20 years.

After nine years of exploration, practice and progress in the construction industry, we have grown into a large-scale comprehensive technical service company in Ontario with more than 40 full-time architects, engineers of various types and construction managers.

Among the projects managed by the firm are the completed 100,000 sq ft high-end commercial complex, China City; the 40,000 sq ft Waterloo affordable student accommodation; and several high-rise commercial and residential buildings totaling over 200,000 sq ft. The firm has completed and is currently working on commercial and residential building development projects with a total area exceeding 5 million sq ft.

Currently, Z Square Architecture Group has been formally divided into three sub-brands based on the size and type of its architectural projects: Z Square Consulting, which mainly deals with architectural design related to large-scale commercial real estate development, as well as development management services; Nestwood Home, which focuses on high-end custom design and construction of detached houses; and Permitsmith, which is rooted in the community and provides essential building permit services such as residential renovation, commercial interior design, and landscaping.
